Room 401 was great. Large rooms and renovated - quite modern. Nice enclosed balcony off room. A very comfortable bed. Helpful owners especially Ernst!! Extremely good and large breakfast with a very good selection. Wonderful coffee machine. Super private parking. Minibar in room with reasonable price. Wanted to stay longer however they were full. Highly recommended and we would stay there again without hesitation. Near train station and a fairly busy road but we did not hear any noise. Close to small downtown area and restaurants. Wifi worked pretty good.

My stay at Schmiede was a testament to German practicality. The hotel offered all the necessary amenities with no frills, ensuring a comfortable experience. Its location was a model of efficiency, providing easy access to local attractions and transport links. Moreover, the pricing reflected the value-conscious spirit of the savvy traveler. Highly recommended for those seeking a straightforward, pleasant stay.

Clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet. Great location with helpful friendly staff. Our room provided a wonderful view of the lake. Especially appreciated the air conditioning as the day was hot. Excellent bike storage facility. Would not hesitate to recommend or return.

Nice hotel. Friendly staffs. Very good breakfast. Parking is easy. Near the bahnhof to go to Konstanz. Hotel will give you the ticket for the public transportation in some zone near Konstanz, but you can go there by S6. Very pleasants.
